another pool story

Tara and Steve worked together and had dated socially a few times, but much to Tara's regret the dates never developed into anything more serious than dinner and a movie.  She knew Steve was straight, he just didn't think a workplace romance was a good idea.
They did enjoy joking around and even betting on sports events from time to time.  The wagers were usually for lunch or things similar to that, never for money as that would have jeopardized their position at work.  During one season's March Madness, they filled out brackets and placed a small side bet on who would go farthest with their selections.
"What shall we bet this time?"  Steve asked.
"How about the loser has to do whatever is asked for one whole day?"  Tara ventured.
Steve envisioned a day of doing yard work, or cleaning Tara's garage, but then he quickly thought of Tara having to thoroughly clean his place and he smiled at that thought.
"Deal," he said, and they shook hands.
The deal went bad for Steve when Tara landed two teams into the final four to none for Steve.
"What's it going to be?"  Steve asked at work the Monday after Tara had bested him.
"Is your pool up and running?"  Tara asked.
"Yes, of course," Steve answered.  One of the perks for moving to the desert southwest was being able to use a pool year-round if you could afford the expense.
"How about a week from Saturday I come over to collect?"  Tara asked.
"Yeah, sure," Steve answered, and he smiled at the thought of getting out of the bet with only having to have Tara come over for a swim, and maybe cooking dinner for her.
The day for Steve to pay up came and Tara was there by 11:00 a,m. sharp.  Steve greeted her wearing a t-shirt and his white swim trunks, Tara was wearing her yellow bikini under a light beach jacket.
"Would you like a drink or something to eat?"  Steve asked her.
"An ice tea, if it's not too much trouble," she replied.
They took their drinks out onto the pool deck and sat in lounge chairs as they sipped quietly on their drinks.  Finally Tara said, "I'd really like your trunks Steve."
Steve smiled and said, "Thanks, I've had them awhile, but I like them too."
Tara leaned forward and said, "You misunderstood me," "I'd really like your trunks, hand them over please."  She smiled devilishly as the words sunk into Steve.
"Whaaa...What do you mean?"  Steve asked, although he already sensed what she meant.
"I mean I'd like you to hand over your swim trunks and spend the rest of the day in the nude," Tara said, smiling gleefully, adding "After all, a bet is a bet."
Those were Steve's own words from a prior occasion when he had won several bets in a row from Tara.
Steve was blushing beet red as he stood and slowly undid his swim trunks, he was waiting for Tara to tell him to stop and that she had merely been joking.  But when he looked at her eagerly watching him he knew she was serious about this.  He stripped off his trunks and laid them beside her on the pool deck.
"Now what?"  He asked.
"Just swim around awhile," Tara requested.
"Much better," Tara said as he swam up to her after diving in, and in deed he spent the rest of the day in the nude for her enjoyment.
Tara enjoyed her day of collecting on the bet, but she let Steve spend most of the afternoon indoors to avoid getting a very sensitive area sunburned.  Of course as the sun went down they again returned to the pool, only this time they both were naked and Tara gave Steve an evening to remember.

the end
